What You’ll Do:
As a Diagnostic Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in providing accurate and timely imaging services that support diagnosis and treatment. You’ll work independently and collaboratively, using your expertise and compassion to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
+ ✅ Accurately identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols for safety.
+ Review patient history and physician orders to ensure optimal imaging results.
+ Administer oral and rectal contrast as per physician orders and department policy.
+ Ensure proper coding, tracking, and archiving of all imaging exams using RIS and ISITE systems.
+ Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols.
+ Provide exceptional patient care with empathy, clear communication, and professionalism.
+ Use independent judgment and initiative to adjust protocols and deliver high-quality images.
+ ️ Clearly explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date.
Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified.
Technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.
Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025.
Diagnostic Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025, will need to obtain their registry within 12 months of hire/transfer date.
CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.
If working in a NY facility, you must have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health.
+ ARRT Certificate
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
