About The Role
+ We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Business Analyst to support the Bridge to the Future / Trade Hub initiative.
+ This role will focus on enabling the Trading Lite MVP by owning data-domain requirements, ensuring data readiness, and supporting the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
+ The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, data modeling, and API/data contract documentation, with a passion for driving data quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
+ Data Requirements & Mapping
+ Own and manage data-domain requirements for the Trading Lite MVP.
+ Identify and capture minimum viable product (MVP) data fields.
+ Map data elements to source-of-record (SOR) systems, including:
+ FIX protocol tags
+ Billing systems
+ Compliance attributes
+ API & Data Contract Documentation
+ Define and document domain-hosted SOR APIs and data contracts.
+ Specify transformation rules, data entitlements, and validation logic.
+ Trace data lineage from legacy SQL systems to AWS targets (Aurora/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Kinesis/streams).
+ Data Readiness & Synchronization Strategy
+ Lead the strategy for data synchronization and readiness:
+ Dual-write vs. Change Data Capture (CDC)
+ Data caching mechanisms
+ Transition from batch to real-time processing
+ Identify and surface data quality issues impacting reporting and analytics migration (SQL to Snowflake).
+ Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Collaborate with internal LPL stakeholders to:
+ Validate data completeness and accuracy
+ Analyze cost-of-trade handling and reconciliation metrics
+ Gather user telemetry and feedback for MVP rollout
Required Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience as a Data Business Analyst or similar role in financial services or trading environments.
+ Strong understanding of trading systems, FIX protocol, and post-trade processes.
+ Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred), including Aurora, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.
+ Proficiency in SQL and data lineage tracing.
+ Familiarity with API documentation tools and data contract standards.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka).
+ Knowledge of data governance, entitlements, and compliance frameworks.
+ Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.

+ Domain - Trading or Merger & acquisitions mandatory
+ Data analysis, data mapping,
+ Sql scripting

+ Creating business requirement document (BRD),
+ Functional requirement documents (FRD),
