Responsible for supervising and coordinating all Plant Utilities facilities maintenance activities, and for the proper operation and monitoring of all Plant Utilities systems, to maintain Plant’s optimum operating conditions to comply with Company standards.
This role leads the transition of facilities operations, including on-site utilities, equipment, and processes, from Integrated Facilities Management (IM) to Manufacturing Technology (MT), focusing on cross-sector transfer, maintenance, infrastructure management, and compliance.
As the single point of accountability for cross-sector facility transitions at the site level, the manager ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant infrastructure and services, emphasizing reliability and customer satisfaction. Additionally, they deploy facility standards aligned with business priorities set by the site and campus Leadership Team, supporting energy initiatives, asset management, and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
+ Develops site-level customer relationships with business units and serve as their facilities transition single point of contact, understand their strategies and expectations and translate them into facilities and site service solutions.
+ Ensures efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations and all facilities operations transition.
+ Drive engagement and Action Plan on all Asset Risk and Compliance (ARC) activities as part of the site transitioning plan.
+ Offers technical support and departmental site knowledge to the project delivery, energy initiatives, asset management, administrative space planning, and supplier management initiatives.
+ Provides leadership and guidance at the site level in decision-making processes that drive customer value.
+ Partners with Compliance/Quality/EHS site-based organizations to drive a homogeneous transition process of compliance programs.
+ Responsible for the maintenance for repairs of buildings, grounds, landscaping, pest control, and parking areas. It includes management of related contract services, housekeeping and Life Safety systems
+ Offers technical support and departmental liaison with other departments and staff at all levels.
+ Assist in the evaluation of spare parts requirements as per new MT operation.
+ Serves as Plant liaison with related consultants, contractors and vendors.
+ Enforces and support to Safety, Environmental and Security Departments and participates in safety initiatives within the facility, such as emergency response, ergonomics, fall prevention, contractor safety, etc. Is aware of, and comply with, Company policies on Safety.
+ Performs other duties and special assignments as required by Management.
Qualifications
Education:
+ Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree in Engineering, Business or Architecture is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ At least 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing regulated environment.
+ Construction of Cost estimation, ergonomics, space planning, Energy Management systems, specifications and bids, project management, identification of new technologies, analytical problem solving, diversity awareness, customer orientation, budget planning and management, planning in a dynamic environment, crisis management and organizational problem solving
+ Experience in Facilities and Utilities Operation
+ Contractor Management experience
+ Supervision of technical personnel experience
+ Environmental, Safety and Project Management experience
+ Advance computer skills and use of software application(s)
+ Leadership skills
+ Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
+ Self-starter capable to work with limited supervision
Other:
+ Fluency (oral & written) in both Spanish & English is required
+ Up to 10% domestic travel is required; international travel may also be required
+ Willing to work overtime and available to work various schedules, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as 12-hour daily shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
