Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities

Enterprise Excellence is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst with approximately two years of experience to support our data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI (preferred) or other business intelligence tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their expertise in analytics while contributing to projects that support strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or similar BI platforms.

+ Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support business initiatives.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver effective data solutions.

+ Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets to support decision-making.

+ Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

+ Ensure data accuracy and integrity through quality control checks.

+ Create and update developer guides for dashboards and reporting processes, including documentation for data models, reporting processes, and dashboard functionalities.

+ Maintain, update, and optimize legacy dashboards, including redesigning them as needed for improved usability, utility, and performance.

+ Other duties as assigned to support Enterprise Excellence team.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field and at 2 years’ of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience.

+ Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

+ Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a data analytics or reporting role.

+ Proficiency with Power BI (preferred) or other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

+ Strong skills in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).

+ Experience with SQL for querying databases preferred.

+ Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills to foster stakeholder relationships and program success.

+ Detail-oriented and organized, with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.

+ The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

+ Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday-Thursday (subject to change).

+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license.

MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. **Department of Energy Q Clearance** (position will be cleared to this level). Annual salary range for this position is: **$63,856.00 - $95,784.00.**

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
