The Position
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position will be located at the Department of Transportation in Carson City, with the Human Resources Division. With general direction, the position's role is that of an internal investigator for the Department. The position is responsible for creating investigation questions, conducting interviews, writing reports, and collaborating with various teams within the Department regarding employee relations issues. The incumbent will work closely with all levels of employees and management. This incumbent will be responsible for initiating Administrative Internal Investigations within State laws, regulations, rules and polices related to personnel management. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
This position may require up to 25% travel.
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
