    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Owner to support the Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Foundation capabilities. This position plays a pivotal role in defining and delivering the foundational platforms that support the enterprise’s hybrid cloud and secure-by-design strategy and host our enterprise business application portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of cloud technologies, platform engineering, and agile product management, with a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and developer-friendly infrastructure products as well as the ability to effectively influence the product vision and roadmap for core infrastructure capabilities such as; landing zone, compute, storage, cloud security, disaster recovery and Azure policy that are delivered across on-premises and public cloud environments.

     

    A key focus of this role is enablement: delivering consumable, automated, and reusable platform capabilities that empower application development teams to deliver business value faster, with greater consistency and quality while also reducing efforts required for ongoing operational support of foundational capabilities. The Product Owner will also work closely with Hybrid Cloud Enablement, Infrastructure as Code, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Architecture and Operations teams, and application teams to ensure that services are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards for security and resiliency.

     

    This role operates within an Agile delivery model, leading backlog refinement, prioritization, and iteration planning to ensure continuous delivery of value aligned with our business objectives. The Product Owner will also conduct customer research and leverage data driven evaluations to develop a cohesive product strategy that addresses business needs and customer challenges.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Builds customer and internal facing products with superior user experience across multiple verticals, accountable for an established or moderate complexity product.

    + Define and communicate product vision, roadmap and success metrics for hybrid cloud foundational services.

    + Ensures alignment between teams to build and prioritize product roadmaps, plan releases, and align them with business objectives.

    + Collaborates with Agile teams, stakeholders, and business representatives to address and resolve issues that arise during product development.

    + Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as Research and Development, User Experience (UX), and business and operations teams, to align on product strategies, gather insights, and plan releases.

    + Identifies product-related issues, makes decisions and continuously does trade-off analyses to ensure development stays on track toward deliverable commitments.

    + Prioritizes the short-term feature backlog and releases, as well as the long-term product roadmap for products to maximize value delivery and align with enterprise cloud and security strategies.

    + Conducts customer research and product discovery to synthesize market factors into a cohesive product strategy, while managing relationships with external vendors—including key partners like Microsoft—to align vendor capabilities with product needs and business objectives. Drives innovation and added value through strategic vendor collaboration and evaluates potential new partners to enhance and expand product features and functionalities.

    + Collaborates with customers and business stakeholders to understand challenges, strategies, and technical needs—translating them into secure, self-service infrastructure solutions and actionable product features that accelerate development.

    + Collects quantitative data and takes a data driven approach to evaluate the viability of product initiatives.

    + Writes epics and stories to support completion of initiatives; ensures stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product; promotes Agile approaches to product development across teams/areas.

    + Drive awareness and adoption campaigns for development community, providing training, support and best practices. Lead engagement activities including monthly office hours.

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity , related field or equivalent work experience

    + SAFe Product Owner certification preferred.

    + 5+ years of relevant experience required

    + Experience in product ownership, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles required

    + Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams required.

    + Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, DevSecOps and cloud-native technologies required.

    + Experience working with cybersecurity teams and secure-by-design principles preferred.

    + Decision Making - Ability to know when and what decisions should be made and to make several decisions simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

    + Industry Product Knowledge - Industry product knowledge refers to a comprehensive understanding of the products and services within a particular industry. It encompasses familiarity with the features, functionalities, applications, and specifications of the products offered by companies operating in that industry. Industry product knowledge is crucial for professionals working in sales, marketing, customer service, product development, and various other roles within a company. It enables individuals to effectively communicate the value propositions of products, address customer inquiries, identify market trends, make informed business decisions, and contribute to the development and improvement of products and services within the industry. This knowledge often requires staying updated with the latest advancements, technologies, and market dynamics within the specific industry domain.

    + Product Development - The creation, innovation, enhancement or improvement of an existing product, or developing an entirely new kind of product to satisfy the requirements of its end-users.

    + Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - The handling of a good as it moves through the typical stages of its product life: development and introduction, growth, maturity/stability, and decline.

    + User Experience (UX) - User Experience (UX) refers to the overall experience that a person has when interacting with a product, service, or system, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use.
