    We are currently seeking an experienced Power Mechanic to join our team in Mulberry, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and brings confidence working on both vehicles and heavy-duty equipment-especially diesel and hydraulic systems. You'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing specialized rail-related equipment, keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

     

    What You'll Be Doing: In this position, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and railroad track equipment. You'll perform both scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs, often independently. From replacing hydraulic components to troubleshooting electrical wiring, no two days will be the same.

    You'll also:

    + Complete all repair work to customer, company, and industry specifications

    + Accurately document parts and labor used on each job

    + Operate various types of mechanical and diagnostic equipment

    + Maintain and care for your assigned tools and work area

    + Assist with repairs in the field as needed

    Qualifications & Experience:

    We're looking for a skilled mechanic with the following:

    + Experience working on diesel engines (required)

    + Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical wiring

    + Railroad track equipment experience is a strong plus

    + Class A CDL preferred but not required

    + Must be able to work safely, independently, and efficiently

    Physical & Environmental Requirements:

    This role involves regular physical activity and exposure to outdoor elements. You should be able to:

     

    + Lift and carry up to 60 lbs occasionally

    + Work in confined spaces and crouch, bend, and twist for extended periods

    + Withstand exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and vibration

    + Apply force and pressure during certain mechanical tasks

    + Communicate effectively and follow verbal safety instructions

    + Wear all required PPE properly
