JOB SUMMARY:
The Cold Storage Warehouse Technician at Polaris Pharmacy Services is responsible for the efficient and safe handling of materials within our cold and dry storage facilities. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the integrity of temperature-sensitive products. The technician plays a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring timely replenishment, and supporting the overall operations of the warehouse.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Receive, stock, and maneuver cold and dry storage materials
+ Move cold storage pallets in and out of arctic blast freezers set at between -20°C and -30°C
+ Move rolling carts in and out of freezers and replenish internal freezers daily (100-150 units measuring 20-25lbs each)
+ Lift 100-150 units of approximately 20 pounds each on and off carts 1-2 times daily
+ Receive cold chain product, track time to thaw, and place into refrigerators in specific geometric orientations
+ Operate manual pallet jacks and/or powered forklifts to move pallets of temperature-sensitive products between storage areas, freezers, and shipping zones
+ Pack out pharmaceutical shipments and prepare them for transport via FedEx
+ Organize completed shipments on pallets for pickup
+ Work with FedEx to ensure proper pickup and handling procedures
+ Follow temperature monitoring protocols and equipment validation procedures provided
+ Support traceability of inventory and maintain inventory logs

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
+ Warehouse, inventory management
+ Cold chain experience preferred
+ Comfortability climbing ladders or moving materials on high shelves that require a ladder
+ Physical ability to work in extreme cold temperatures (-20°C to -40°C) for brief periods
+ Available to work Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work to receive shipments
+ Temporary/seasonal position (40 hours/week)
+ Seasonal position from mid-August 2025 through January 2026; expect 1-2 weeks of training in August 2025
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
+ May be necessary to work extended hours as needed

+ Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
