Creative Destruction Lab (CDL-Seattle) is an objectives-based mentorship program for massively scalable, science- and technology-driven startups. The program's mission is to enhance the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. The program takes no equity and charges no fees - it is funded through philanthropy and corporate partnerships.

CDL-Seattle specializes in founders starting companies in Computational Health and software and systems for Advanced Manufacturing. Over the course of 4 sessions in 9 months, the program pairs incredible mentors with two cohorts of 20 ventures each. At each full-day session, spaced 8 weeks apart, mentors work with founders to set three key objectives. Mentors then commit to work with the founders to help them achieve these objectives in the following 8-week sprint. Mentors are serial entrepreneurs, technologists and experts. Since 2022, startups that have completed the program have raised $200 million.

CDL-Seattle is run as a partnership between CDL-Global and the business schools of a dozen leading universities. The universities act as a convener of talent, bringing together mentors, world-class scientists, and economists to accelerate and enable investment in promising new ventures.

Every year, the CDL-Seattle team revisits and revises the area of focus for the streams. Future areas of interest for potential new streams include next-generation computing, aging and longevity, climate technologies, quantum, space, and other areas of deep-tech and science innovation.
