Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando. Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
Job Summary:
The **Events Manager - Education i** s responsible for the overall planning and management of symposiums and executive meetings for the Nicholson Center (NC) including event management. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealths core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork:
+ Manages planning process for all NC symposiums and educational events. Events range up to 1000 learners.
+ Develops an event staffing model. Develops and manages staffing accountabilities for each event.
+ Develops course marketing print material.
+ Manages and applies for all grant applications and sponsorship funding for symposium education events. Works directly with sponsoring vendors to ensure an ongoing relationship.
+ Books convention space and blocks rooms for events. Provides Director with analysis on fulfillment of contract obligations.
+ Works directly with legal department and senior leadership to develop contracts for course faculty.
+ Works with CME/CEU accreditation department to file all needed forms required to obtain credits for each course. Monitors event activities to ensure compliance with regulations surrounding CME/CEU accredited events.
+ Travels nationally and internationally to plan events from conception to completion for the Nicholson Center.
+ Provides the leadership team with post-event analysis and evaluation after each event/course.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
Required:
+ **Bachelors degree** **in marketing, business, communications -OR- related field -** **OR- 3-years of relevant experience**
+ Knowledge of event management, marketing and public relations
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Ability to implement initiative in a strategic manner with minimal supervision
+ Ability to work with a team using tact and diplomacy
Preferred:
+ Bilingual (English fluency required/fluency in Spanish/Portugues preferred)
+ Ability to travel internationally
+ Certified Meeting Planner
