    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Systems Administrator II is responsible for assisting with coordination, planning, and computer-related activities. This position helps determine the IT needs of the organization along with the IT Manager and is responsible for implementing computer systems under the direction of the IT Manager to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements. They are required to support all employees and subcontractors nationally and communicate with IT teams in Poland. This role involves prioritizing work and addressing the computer needs of the organization with a higher degree of independence.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    / Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.

     

    / Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.

     

    / Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.

     

    / Creating user accounts and performing access control.

     

    / Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.

     

    / Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.

     

    / Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.

     

    / Supporting Avaya IP Office phone system users.

     

    / Troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and connection issues.

     

    / Providing technical assistance and remote computer or network support to end users.

     

    / Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.

     

    / Communicating effectively with IT teams in Poland to ensure seamless integration and support.

     

    / Managing and maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy.

     

    / Ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures.

     

    / Conducting regular system audits and generating reports.

     

    / Collaborating with other IT staff to develop and implement new technologies.

     

    / Providing training and support to end users on IT systems and software.

     

    / Assisting with the development and implementation of IT strategies and initiatives.

     

    / Managing and maintaining virtualization environments.

     

    / Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability and availability.

     

    / Coordinating with vendors and service providers for IT-related services.

     

    / Participating in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

     

    / Maintaining inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.

     

    / Assisting with budget planning and cost management for IT resources.

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    / Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification.

     

    / Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and systems security.

     

    / Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).

     

    / Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).

     

    / Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.

     

    / Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications.

     

    / Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS).

     

    / Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.

     

    / Familiarity with database management (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).

     

    / Understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

     

    / Experience with Ubiquiti network equipment (e.g., switches, AP’s).

     

    / Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veritas Backup Exec, Dell EMC Data Domain).

     

    / Experience with Autodesk software installation and configuration.

     

    / Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management.

    Education and Experience:

    / Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar work experience.

     

    / 4-6 years of experience in this role.

     

    / Experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.

    Salary Description

    $70,000 - $95,000 based on experience
