Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Drafter assists Engineers and Designers in the completion of assigned projects. They are responsible for taking design concepts and transforming them into a working set of electrical schematics and bill of materials. Must be able to check their work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
/ Create electrical, wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings based on the direction from the Electrical Engineer and Electrical Designer. Ability to produce drawing with Solidworks Electrical and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
/ Create and maintain project documentation, including bill of materials, PLC I/O lists and drawing lists using MS Office.
/ Work closely with the electrical assembly personnel during the build and revision process to capture all redlines.
/ Have a basic knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70E standards desirable but not required.
/ Ability to maintain and follow EE Design schedules and budgets.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
/ Working knowledge of Solidworks Electrical 2D, 3D, AutoCAD design software and Microsoft Office products highly desired.
/ Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation Control System Hardware (PLC’s, switches, etc.) or similar platform.
/ Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority.
/ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
/ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Education and Experience:
/ A high school diploma or its equivalent. Advanced education desired but not required.
/ Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Drafter. Solidworks and/or AutoCAD electrical drawings desired but will train if needed.

Physical Demands:
/ The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear and talk.
/ The employee is frequently required to use hands.
/ The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
/ The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
/ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
/ The work environment is an office setting with periodic need to visit the plant floor.
/ This position may be required to work long hours extending into the weekends on some occasions.

Salary Description
$24 - $32 Per Hour Depending on Experience
