    About the role:

    Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant who will lead the development and execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy for the Caterpillar Specialized Commercial Solutions (CSCS) team. The CSCS business offers gensets with a Cat Reman engine and Repair & Return services globally, supporting a global sales team and associated operations, logistics and engineering capability. The Senior Strategy Consultant is responsible to identify new opportunities to leverage this global footprint to execute commercial transactions for our business partners that would be challenging in normal channels.

    Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:

    + Work with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for business growth.

    + Manages metrics, dashboards and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to increase the sale.

    + Plan and direct all projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise.

    + Add enterprise value through expanding the scope Caterpillar Specialized Commercial Solutions (CSCS) offerings.

    Skill Descriptors:

    + **Customer Focus:** Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

    + **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Extensive knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

    + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

    + **Effective Communications:** Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    + **Relationship Management:** Working knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

    + **Strategic Thinking:** Working knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

    Top Candidates Will Have:

    + Extensive experience working and developing relationships across functional areas.

    + Experience working with external customers/ dealer networks.

    + Potential for 20-30% travel.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $126,000.00 - $189,000.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
