    Job Description:

    Organizational Development Consultant

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Organizational Development Consultant with a focus on the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in conducting interviews and focus groups, analyzing data, and supporting team effectiveness to drive business growth.

    What You Will Do:

    + Develop and implement organizational development strategies tailored to the manufacturing environment.

    + Conduct interviews and focus groups to gather insights and feedback from employees at all levels.

    + Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

    + Collaborate with leadership and teams to design and facilitate interventions that enhance team effectiveness and performance.

    + Support change-management initiatives and ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.

    + Provide coaching and mentoring to team leaders and members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    + Develop training programs and workshops to build skills and capabilities within the workforce.

    + Utilize best practices in organizational development to drive business growth and achieve strategic goals.

    What You Have:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

    + Proven experience conducting interviews and focus groups.

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

    + Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    + Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

    + Organizational Change Management: Knowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.

    + Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.

    + Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

    Top Candidates Will Also Have:

    + Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

    + Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision and organization.

    + Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

    + Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.

    + Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

    Additional Information:

    + Primary Location: Irving, TX. Secondary Location: Peoria, IL

    + Travel Percentage: 20%-25%

    + Relocation will not be provided

    Summary Pay Range:

    $126,000.00 - $189,000.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
