RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for leading medium to large-sized projects and/or most complex projects within the Information Technology (IT) department.
• Responsible for the quality of all activities and deliverables, regular communication and status updates, and facilitating change management as needed.
• Responsible for providing administrative and project management support to the IT PMO.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: All required, described by frequency.
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking.
• Continuous: standing, sitting, walking, repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Frequent: stooping/bending, reaching below shoulder level.
• Occasional: climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, reaching above and at shoulder level.
• Operates computer, printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Occasional scheduled night and weekend work.
• May require late hours and weekends to complete assignments and projects.
• Majority of time is spent on the computer.
• Work may be performed in an enclosed area lacking windows.
• Work may be performed at various locations under varying conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelors degree in information technology (or related field); or, five (5) years of experience in information technology systems integration may be substituted for educational requirement.
• Current and active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years information technology experience with demonstrated knowledge of healthcare computer technology, clinical and revenue cycle information systems, preferably in an acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery application system environment.
• Three (3) years project management experience with budgetary and human resource management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience in the following:
o Organizational and leadership skills.
o Business metrics and reporting.
o Compiling and analyzing data.
o MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
• MS Visio experience desired.
