We’re seeking a Senior Marketing Manager (Growth Marketing) to lead advertising strategy and execution for our fast-growing portfolio of nonfiction titles. This role is key to driving discoverability, sales, and market share across Amazon and other eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Amazon’s advertising tools (AMS, Amazon Ads, Vendor Central), a proven track record of running and optimizing high-performing campaigns, and a passion for connecting readers with compelling nonfiction content. This role reports directly to the Publisher. Ideal candidates would have 5+ years of digital/performance marketing experience, including at least 3 years focused on Amazon advertising. Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to drive results independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Specific responsibilities include:
• Lead end-to-end campaign strategy and execution to drive online sales growth with a strong focus on performance tracking and data-driven optimization
• Continuously monitor, analyze and optimize a wide range of campaigns and increase performance by focusing on traffic, conversion, and campaign efficacy
• Optimize spend to align with revenue and profitability goals, provide regular reporting on budget utilization
• Coordinate and collaborate with the corporate marketing team to scale campaigns
• Collaborate with the broader marketing team to integrate PPC strategies with broader marketing objectives
• Work closely with Data team on keyword research, audience segmentation and to optimize metadata for enhanced discoverability and performance
• Identify new opportunities of growth on and off Amazon, including new ad formats and other retail media platforms like Target.com and Walmart.com
• Support ad-hoc analysis to uncover new market, expand existing markets and move towards higher efficiency and scale to manage our rapidly growing backlist
Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of pay-per-click advertising or performance marketing campaign management experience. Proven experience creating, executing and continually optimizing successful paid marketing campaigns across multiple channels
• Demonstrable experience in managing significant ad budgets and achieving strong ROI
• Deep understanding of keyword research tools, bidding strategies, ad formats and targeting options on Amazon
• Strong passion for data and analytics, experience with excel (data manipulations, macros, pivot tables). Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Able to multitask, stay organized, meet concurring deadlines, problem solve independently
• Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally
• Previous experience in Retail or Publishing industry preferred
The PRH office is located in New York City. The position is open to remote candidates who are based in the United States and can work primarily on Eastern Time. The salary range for this position is $79,500 – 85,000. Salary will be based on experience, with candidates bringing deep Amazon ad expertise and strong analytical skills typically falling at the higher end of the range.
