Job Overview
M Health Fairview Health Services is looking for a Service and Product Assistant at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank) in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks) 2rd shift position, we believe the hours will be Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm. This position is part of the AFSCME union.
To receive, deliver, replenish, clean and maintain appropriate equipment/supplies/linen/forms. To assist with maintaining inventory control.
Responsibilities
+ Maintains adequate inventory levels of equipment, linen, and supplies; performs cycle counts, identifies expired or recalled products, and ensures proper rotation and stocking.
+ Monitors supply usage trends and calculates par levels, recommending adjustments based on patient volume, cyclical changes, or special causes.
+ Coordinates shipment, delivery, and stocking across multiple locations, while utilizing inventory systems for equipment tracking and productivity reporting.
+ Assists in maintaining and decontaminating medical equipment; identifies and selects appropriate instruments and supplies for procedures, including Operating Room case setup.
+ Responds promptly and professionally to supply and equipment requests, accurately differentiating between emergency and routine needs.
+ Communicates effectively via phone, email, and in person; ensures clear understanding of customer requests and maintains a high level of service and support.
Required qualifications:
+ 1 year or less comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels
+ Independent use of computers including data entry
Preferred qualificaitons:
+ 1 or more years experience
