Job Summary
The Standard Missile 3 team is seeking an experienced supply chain manager to join the SM-3 IIA program as the Associate Director over a team of Material Program Managers located onsite in Tucson, Arizona.
We are looking for a self-starter who can develop and achieve program objectives in a matrixed environment and is able to successfully interface with functional and program senior leadership. In this highly visible role, you will be the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Team for Supply Chain. You’ll create and manage the execution of Material Program Strategies and Plans to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through contract closure.
Applicant must be located in Tucson or willing to relocate. There is NO relocation assistance for this role.
Job Summary
This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of leading teams, proposal activities, customer negotiation support, material requirements planning (MRP) process, subcontract management and project management (to include program start up as well as execution).
In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product teams. Additionally, you will participate in proposals by leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates and participating in gate review preparation as well as assist with the generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW).
The successful candidate will influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.
What You Will Do:
+ Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
+ Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
+ Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
+ Customer Proposal support including generating Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s) as well as labor basis of estimates (BOEs)
+ Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives
+ Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.)
+ Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
+ Management of timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity management
+ Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <30%)
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing
+ Experienced leader who has worked in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
+ Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
+ Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs) experience
+ Experience managing program cost and schedule
+ Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience with Earned Value Management and/or Financial forecasting.
+ Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)
+ Execution experience of multiple program and contract types (i.e EMD, LRIP, FRP, Cost and Fixed Price)
+ Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
+ International procurement / supplier management experience
+ CORE or similar Six Sigma Specialist
+ Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related.

+ Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
