    What We Do

     

    At WBD , the video AI team comprises of computer vision engineers , M L engineers , and software engineers . W e have an extraordinary catalog of content that spans 100 years of movies and tv shows. In this role, y ou will lead th e video AI team and drive key initiatives that connect our unparalleled content with global audiences through novel (product and marketing) experiences powered by video understanding.

    What You’ll Do

    + Develop and communicate a robust technical vision and strategy for applications based on video and image understanding

    + Define and track key performance indicators and evaluation protocols to measure product and technical success for video understanding tasks and applications

    + Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders

    + G uide the development of high-impact end-to-end machine learning systems for media processing

    + Promote and role-model best practices in data science and engineering throughout the organization

    + Hire and m entor engineers and researchers on the team and raise the bar for ML excellence across the org

    + Stay up to date with state-of-the-art developments in the research community and c ontribute back by writing/publishing blogs, articles or papers in conferences

    What You’ll Need

    + M.S or PhD in a Computer Science or related field with specialization in machine learning and/or computer vision

    + 10+ years of building CV/ ML products with for consumer and /or enterprise applications

    + 4+ years of managing high-perf ormance teams

    + Proven leadership skills, such as aligning complex technical decisions across teams, mentoring, coordinating cross-functional relationships with non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations, and navigating competing priorities

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to business audiences

    + Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and driven to pursue excellence across teams

    + Deep knowledge of computer vision and audio processing techniques

    + Experience with multi modal learning for video understanding , Vision language models, diffusion models and agentic workflows

    + Familiarity with statistics and general machine learning techniques strongly preferred

    + Production experience implementing, maintaining , and improving machine learning pipelines for media processing and models at scale in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages using frameworks such as tensorflow and pytorch .

    In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $234,500.00 - $435,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
