Why Join the Warner Bros. Discovery Team?
Delivering one of the largest and most iconic content libraries in streaming to millions of consumers around the globe is no easy feat. It requires high levels of collaboration, a willingness to take risks, and a passion to tackle some of the most complex design challenges. That’s why at Warner Bros. Discovery, we cultivate an environment for our employees to thrive, whether it’s designing all our tech from scratch to continuously innovate, working at the exciting pace of a startup, or utilizing our flexible working hours to enhance collaboration with teams across the world. We think big and we hire people who do the same: designers who love owning a problem and creating their own elegant solutions, and those who are willing to try, fail, learn, and try again because that’s how we truly build the future.
We try to expose early career designers to a wide range of projects, to help them get a sense for where their interests lie. We then pair them with a range of senior designers so that they can learn from a mix of experiences. Attributes we look for in all our hires across the team are ownership and leadership. Proactively taking ownership, having a bias for action, curious and always asking why.
The Role
As a Senior Designer specializing in Design Systems, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a cohesive design system that ensures consistency across our streaming apps. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to develop and implement design standards and guidelines. You lead the creation and management of well-thought design components—adding visual nuances utilizing color, hierarchy, animation, and interaction to create thoughtful elements that can build upon each other. You understand technology and are always looking for the latest and greatest trends across all the digital products that touch your life and inspire your design choices. You enjoy the challenge of making everything that comes from your hands to be beautiful and inspiring.
