Job Title: Americas Controller
Summary:The Americas Controller has overall control and responsibility for the following financial functions: accounting, compliance, controllership, internal controls over financial reporting, to ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, accordance with US GAAP, country requirements, corporate polices, including tax compliance. Lead an efficient finance organization that actively supports the business to growth while maintaining a robust control environment. Act as partner of the Finance Operations, and Business Unit Finance Leader in the Americas Region.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Manage the monthly closing process and management of the general ledger to provide local and US GAAP financial statements
+ Responsible for statutory & US GAAP financial reports and provide financial data to the business and corporate functions to help support decisions and meet compliance requirements
+ Lead/Support Quarterly and Year-end Group/Statutory audits
+ Ensure compliance of accounting practices, procedures and controls with internal control requirements and local statutory policies
+ Support the budget process and work closely with-in the Controllership organization to ensure budget targets are met
+ Lead Global operational accounting activities but not limited to (SMI, OOS, LCM and CAPVAR accounting)
+ Lead Corporate Accounting activities (Payroll, Legal, Treasury)
+ Lead Global MPM Closing and coordination
+ Assure compliance of internal control polices and processes related to financial with-in the Americas Region
+ Coordinate with external & internal auditors for clearance/certification of local financial statements and financial reporting processes
+ Manage monthly BS account reconciliation process
+ Be partner with the Regional Leaders driving the force for Momentive strategy all Americas functions to delivery continuous growth.
+ Help Americas Plant Managers on execution process for Capital Projects and develop/refine capital expenditure
+ Liaison with Tax Team on US transfer pricing reviews and operational improvement
+ Lead and support automation opportunities, continuous standardization of procedures, and identifying business optimization for MBS
+ Identify Opportunities on creatively doing “more with less” on SG&A without impact service or quality.
+ Recommend appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flow
+ Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
+ In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to federal, state, and local income tax, withholding tax, transaction taxes including VAT, and all other tax schedules
+ Develop, train, coach, and actively lead team
+ To be part of the visual leadership on Safety Culture
+ Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
+ BS in Accounting or Finance, MS/MBA Preferred; CPA or equivalent required
+ 10+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance/Tax/Finance planning and analyses, chemical industry background is a plus
+ Must possess good knowledge of US GAAP
+ Proven management and leadership experience in building organizational capability and driving change
+ Strong project management skills and ability to make recommendations which are actionable and evaluate priorities to the team members
+ Treasury experience, including Brazilian Central Bank is a requirement; monetary policy experience is a plus
+ Overall knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing process
+ Knowledgeable of taxation including VAT (ICMS, IPI, PIS/Cofins), & other domestic tax issues, transfer pricing and fiscal benefits.

+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work effectively in a matrixed environment
+ Positive attitude, adaptability, focus, and ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment
+ Proven ability to synthesize data from company records and markets sources for presentation to senior management for decision making
+ Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel
+ SAP experience is a plus
+ Knowledge and or work experience in IFRS for manufacturing companies
+ Treasury experience, including Brazilian Central Bank is a requirement; monetary policy experience is a plus
What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $123,000 - $180,400
The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
