Job Description Summary:
The Senior Associate General Counsel will lead the legal support for Option Care Health’s growing Naven Health nurse staffing organization, biopharma solutions franchise, and data management and monetization activities. The Senior Associate General Counsel will also oversee legal support for the company’s direct and indirect procurement activities, including therapy and medical supply purchasing as well as software licensing. The Senior Associate General Counsel will serve as a member of the company’s Legal Leadership team and report to the Deputy General Counsel.
**Job Description:**
+ Serve as the lead lawyer for the company’s Naven Health nurse staffing organization and as a member of its extended legal leadership team. Work with the Naven Health executive leadership team and cross-functionally to provide strategic legal counseling, negotiate commercial and other contracts, and support the organization’s marketing and clinical trial activities.
+ Provide legal support to the company’s biopharma services franchise, including strategic support to the company’s relationships with pharmaceutical companies, legal counseling, negotiating commercial and other contracts, and supporting the organization’s marketing activities.
+ Supporting the company’s Procurement organization by drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for purchasing, licensing and service agreements, including securing desired business terms and legal protections. Identifying and mitigating procurement-related risks like supplier disputes, supply disruptions, and non-compliance with ethical standards.
+ Provide legal support to the company’s data monetization transactions and related activities, working closely with the Information Technology and Compliance functions to help ensure consistency with legal requirements and stakeholder expectations.
+ Managing pre-litigation disputes related to Procurement, Naven Health, biopharma services, data monetization and other areas under the position’s responsibility, including disputes related to contractual performance, product liability, warranty claims and intellectual property.
+ Where necessary, partner with the company’s Compliance department with respect to matters impacting relevant businesses. Assist with the oversight of the company’s fraud, waste and abuse and self-referral compliance programs, HIPAA and other data security compliance issues, and compliance with Medicare and Medicaid program requirements. Participate in attorney-client privileged investigations, clearly communicating remedial actions to company leadership and tracking completion as well as otherwise helping to ensure continuous improvement throughout the company.
+ At the direction of the Deputy General Counsel, provide legal oversight with respect to the company’s clinical trial programs, 340B program, and other adjacent business activities, including with respect to related contracting activities.
+ Support mergers and acquisitions activities impacting the businesses for which this position is responsible for providing legal support, including due diligence of potential targets, design of risk mitigation strategies and implementation of integration plans, helping to ensure a successful cultural transition for new team members and preserving the value of the transaction for the company and its stakeholders.
+ Responsible for ensuring compliance on a national basis with local and federal regulations, accreditation standards and corporate policies to help drive effectiveness and consistency in operations. Helps ensures patient safety and satisfaction through all operations. Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Option Care Health data.
+ Fosters “intra-organizational” and “intra-departmental” teamwork by initiating communication with and working with other organizational areas to accomplish departmental goals. Helps to build a cohesive, service-oriented team through supporting the recruitment, training and development, engagement, and retention of qualified team members as needs arise. Fosters a work environment in which staff will succeed and grow in their professional development and contribute to the overall success of Option Care Health.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
+ Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar license in the state of residence
+ At least seven (7) years of prior legal experience with a law firm and an in-house legal department, preferably performing legal services for health care services providers, pharmacy-led businesses, payors or health systems
Basic Qualifications
+ Experience navigating complex healthcare organizations and a working knowledge of general healthcare and corporate laws, particularly those related to health care service providers or pharmacy-led businesses
+ Robust experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing complex commercial and other procurement-related contracts, specifically within the context of healthcare
+ Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal stakeholders
+ Good legal judgment, the ability to appropriately assess risk, and excellent communication, writing and analytical skills
+ Understanding of business operations and market dynamics to provide practical and relevant legal advice
+ Comfort with providing strategy-related advice and counsel where requirements are sometimes ambiguous and without clear precedent, with demonstrated ability to influence the shaping and design of key strategic initiatives and programs
+ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners
+ Basic skill in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $180,114.99-$300,206.64
