Job Description
Responsible on a 24 hour, 7 day-per-week basis for delivering clinical, financial and Patient management applications and the required technical infrastructure to support the enterprise and the various applciations. Position will most likely focus on either the technical track, clinical Application track, Financial track or a patient management track.Responsibilities can range from technical support for architectural planning, logical design and deployment of: client and server operating systems, NT/Novell servers, electronic messaging and desktop design in the client server track ; network, routers, firewalls, phone switches, wireless connectivity and carriers in the network track; as well as internet/intranet design, networking services, protocols and client/server applications through application support which can include Order Entry, Results Reporting, EMR, Charting, MARs, Scheduling, LTC, Critical Care, Home Care, Ambulatory Care, Physician Offices, Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, OR, Rehab, , Dietary, ER, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Materials Management, Payroll, Human Resources, Time and Attendance, ADT, Registration, MPI, EDI, Patient Accounting, Collection, Managed Care Administration, and Medical Records Administration.
Education And Credentials
Bachelors Degree or Science in Information Systems, Business, or similar. If no degree, ten years relevant experience. If degree then 5 years of experience. Masters Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering or equivalent field preferred.
Experience
5 years of experience in supervisory or project management experience. 7 years of experience in of experience in project management, applications design, technical support, capacity planning and business needs analysis required. 3 years of experience in working in a large, multi-entity, multiple-application system health care environment required. 3 years of experience in strategic planning required.
