This position is located at the D7 Headquarter Building in Mankato and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Job Duties:
This position provides the services necessary to initiate and complete accounting documents by analyzing, reviewing, coding, posting, approving payments, reconciling monthly vendor statements and accounts payable record keeping, and financial reporting. Provides backup duties for other business office functions as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Fundamental math skills sufficient to compute totals and to check and reconcile data.
+ Skill in using spreadsheet applications sufficient to update and maintain fiscal records.
+ Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and accounts payable.
+ Data entry skills sufficient to maintain accurate records and reports.
+ Communication skills sufficient to write, prepare and edit materials.
+ Knowledge of communication sufficient to read, understand, and respond to a variety of communications.
+ Customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal customers, co-workers and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous bookkeeping sufficient to maintain complete and accurate records.
+ SWIFT (State Wide Integrated Financial Tools) and/or other governmental accounting system experience sufficient to query, maintain and compile records and reports.
+ Working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets, word processing software, computers and office equipment sufficient to make calculations and communicate with staff and vendors.
+ Working knowledge of MnDOT financial structure, budget and cost coding.
+ One year experience in Accounts Payable.
+ Education in Accounting or related program.
