Quad is currently hiring a Hardware Engineer to join our team in Sussex, WI! This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
+ Design and Development:
+ Research, design, develop, and test industrial computer systems and components that communicate with PLC I/O.
+ Testing and Validation:
+ Rigorously testing prototypes and finished products, analyzing results, and making necessary design adjustments.
+ Troubleshooting:
+ Identifying and resolving hardware issues during design, testing, and production phases.
+ Collaboration:
+ Working with software and electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Documentation:
+ Creating detailed specifications, schematics, and other documentation for hardware designs.
+ Staying Current:
+ Keeping up with the latest hardware technologies and trends.
+ Supervision:
+ May supervise technicians, engineering designers, or other support personnel.
Key Skills:
+ Technical Skills: Strong understanding of hardware design principles, circuit analysis, PCB design, digital and analog systems, and hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog).
+ Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and solve complex hardware problems.
+ Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
+ Communication: Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education:
+ A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is typically required.
This role is a Monday-Friday, 8-hour-a-day position with a flexible start/end time.
