Job Summary and Qualifications
The Senior Product Analyst will ensure the effective design, build, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of IT solutions for the Workforce Health & Safety Group within HCA. Provide guidance and functional expertise for HCA’s use of the Workforce Health and Safety application, Enterprise Health. Collaborate with Business Customers, Department Heads, Project Teams, and support staff of other HR modules and external systems regarding integrations with Enterprise Health. Lead work effort needs with vendors, business owners, and business analysts to maximize functionality and efficiencies of the systems according to the business requirements. Provide functional support to business users as needed. Must be able to work with moderate direction and minimal supervision. Leads team efforts through functional expertise, use of best practices and in-depth knowledge to provide highly creative solutions.
This position works closely with a variety of resources to ensure systems are deployed to satisfy the needs of the business:
+ Technical – Collaboration is required with other technical resources both at corporate and in the field in various capacities including systems design, interface engineering, business analysis, quality assurance, and customer support.
+ External Vendors – Frequent interaction with technical and functional representatives of our systems vendors.
+ Functional – Communicates with key business resources to aid in the deployment of new technology and participate in problem identification and resolution.
+ The ideal candidate for this position has:
+ Experience implementing new technology solutions for large/complex organizations.
+ Well-developed communication skills.
+ Create quality work products in the form of presentations, Visio, and documentation targeted to specific audiences.
+ An IT business analyst background with business intelligence and reporting.
+ Experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization
+ Experience in HL7 messaging standards
+ Experience in FHIR API standards is a plus
+ Experience with third party device integration is a plus.
+ Workforce Health and Safety experience is a plus.
Major Responsibilities:
+ Manage business and product requirements
+ Works closely with key business resources to identify and document requirements for new technology configuration and deployment
+ Manage the requirements change control process; and completes a requirements matrix throughout the execution of the solution to ensure that all documented requirements are met
+ Articulate existing system structure, constraints and deficiencies with product to vendors, customers, architecture and support teams
+ Lead efforts to define new technology and support the Workforce Health and Safety program at HCA
+ Function as a liaison with business teams to perform gap analysis of vendor product functionality to business process requirements
+ Participates in project team meetings; works with project managers to document, report and manage risks, issues and changes
+ Participates in solution design activities to ensure all business requirements are understood and properly addressed
+ Document for vendor delivered solutions business process, application workflow/UI front-end to backend database mapping and traceability to support downstream ETL efforts
+ Contribute as needed to the preparation and execution of the testing phases of this effort
+ Assist in the deployment of vendor enhancements and other changes
+ Serve as a product expert for all products in the Workforce Health and Safety application and all of its integrated systems
+ Supports the application from a product perspective to ensure it is operational and successfully meeting the business requirements
+ Works with the vendor, business owners and users of the system to identify and implement new releases to the system.
+ Ensure that all product changes and enhancements are properly managed and implemented
+ Keeps business partners updated on active issues and efforts to resolve
+ Serve as a key contact for all vendors associated with Workforce Health and Safety
+ Works closely with business partners to translate highly technical information and activities into meaningful knowledge to support decision making
+ Identify areas for process improvement and recommend/develop solutions
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Supports acquisitions
+ Research and resolve issues identified in systems and interfaces
+ Determines root cause for problems and implement improvements
+ Leads and mentors junior team members
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Systems preferred
+ 5+ years’ work experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:
+ Experience with project management and/or process improvement required
+ Technical knowledge of application support and vendor management required
+ Demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment preferred
+ Strong problem and issue resolution experience and create quality deliverables required
+ Ability to meet deadlines and set clear expectations required
+ Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization required
+ Understanding of use of technologies in a healthcare environment preferred
+ Understanding of hospital operations preferred
+ Ability to implement integrations between complex applications required
+ Ability to work independently required
+ Able to succinctly communicate verbally and in a variety of media required
+ Ability to multitask required
+ Detailed oriented and analytical with good organization skills required
Travel Required
+ Occasional Travel: The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
