    About the Role

    We are seeking a seasoned **Manager Software Engineer** with a strong track record of managing and leading delivery teams, serving Life insurance and Annuity customers. This individual will be responsible for building a high trust relationship with customers by ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

     

    This individual will play a critical role in delivering business value to customers and growing DXC business. The ideal candidate is a team player, servant leader with strong technical and analytical acumen, problem-solving skills, and a drive for continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage delivery for life insurance and annuity projects with a focus on customer satisfaction and excellence.

    + Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customer leadership and internal stakeholders.

    + Proactively manage stakeholder expectations on both the customer and DXC side through clear communication and structured governance.

    + Own resourcing, budgeting, risks, and issue management—ensuring forward-looking, preventive actions are in place.

    + Produce clear reports and metrics to track delivery health, highlight trends, and drive data-informed decisions.

    + Collaborate closely with customers to understand demand forecasts and align delivery capacity accordingly.

    + Drive high resource utilization while maintaining work-life balance and preventing team burnout.

    + Work with project managers and lead and SMEs to ensure both customer and DXC processes and practices are followed and continuously improved.

    + Establish a collaborative, inclusive team culture that values continuous learning and open feedback.

    Required Qualifications

    + 8+ years of Project and Delivery Management.

    + 5+ years of working experience in Life Insurance and Annuity industry.

    + 4+ years of experience as software developer or business analyst.

    + Working knowledge of technologies such as Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, DB2), SQL, Micro Focus, AWS etc.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    + Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior experience of managing/leading or working as team member of Pplus/DSS delivery team.

    + Prior experience of working with DXC insurance Products.

    + Experience in system migrations, integrations, and insurance domain transformation projects.

    + One with progression from technical to management role.

     

    Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $105,100 - $195,200.
