Role Purpose: Perform precision strain gaging and wiring for single and multi-axis load cells. Ensure the department’s processes are performed consistently producing the highest level of quality services to both internal and external customers in a timely manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
+ Ability to perform fine Soldering through a stereo microscope for extended periods of time using various tools and adhesives.
+ Ability to precisely align and adhere strain gages to horizontal and vertical lines.
+ Ability to solder fine insulated copper wire to micro strain gages.
+ Ability interpret and understand part specific drawings detailing the placement of strain gages and gage wire routings.
+ Perform quality checks of work performed using a multi-meter and electrometer.
+ Perform quality checks including bridge resistance and checking for shorts.
+ Assist in the development of process sheets for gaging and wiring load cells.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to problem solve involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Capability
Ability to remain in stationary position for long periods of time utilizing a microscope. Must have attention to detail and fine motor skills.
Customer Focus: This is a highly visible position with a critical impact on the company’s future. Internal and external contacts include all levels of employees within the company, division management, consultants, and other professional business contacts within the industry. External contacts are key to the effective execution of the objectives of the company. Success in this area is vital for the development of the existing and future business.
Education and/or Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Ability to read technical drawings.
+ Understanding of electronics preferred.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
