    Basic Job Functions:

    Vulcraft Alabama is seeking a mobile equipment mechanic. The role of a Mobile Equipment Mechanic is to SAFELY repair and perform preventive and non-routine maintenance on all company mobile equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, semi-trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, street sweeper, water truck, and small engines. Additional responsibilities include all aspects of maintenance requirements of commercial vehicles and a familiarity with federal and state regulations governing them, diagnosis and repair of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C diagnosis and repair. Electronic engine controls and computer-based diagnostics.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Experience in mobile equipment and trailer maintenance

    + Knowledge of electronic diesel engines

    + Basic computer skills

    + Hold a Class A CDL drivers license or obtain within the first year.

    + Basic hand tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Certified in R134A mobile air conditioning systems

    + Knowledge of the FMCSA safety program

    + Diesel mechanic certifications

    + DOT Inspector certification

    + Experience in Aluminum welding
