Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for a structural auto welder operator include but are not limited to:

+ Trouble shooting problems and changing out consumables as needed.

+ Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control consumable cost and scrap.

+ Removing all flux from produced parts.

+ Filling flux hoppers.

+ Operator-level maintenance of machinery.

+ Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.

+ Operating the auto welder machine while making constant adjustments.

+ Being flexible to work any schedule needed.

+ Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Experience with reading drawings, prints, and weld processes.

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Crane and forklift certifications.

+ Prior experience running an auto welder.

+ Weld certification.

+ Possess basic understanding of metal building system fabrication
