Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance while supporting payroll tax processes and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly tax filings for state and local authorities.

• Perform daily reconciliations for payroll transactions and bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Post manual journal entries and monthly accruals, transferring data from payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable modules.

• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, including payroll taxes, fixed assets, prepaids, and debt accounts.

• Manage monthly financial close processes for general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and generate necessary reports.

• Reconcile account balances and analyze discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.

• Generate and distribute monthly financial statements for management review.

• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports in alignment with organizational needs.

• Monitor management fees, prepaids, bad debt, and workers' compensation accounts to ensure proper allocation.

Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Strong proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

• Extensive knowledge of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with payroll tax computations and filing requirements.

• Ability to manage financial close processes and produce accurate reports.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
