Description
We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to lead financial operations and drive strategic planning within our organization. Based in N. Durham, NC, this role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support business objectives and ensure financial health.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and execution of annual budgets to align with organizational goals.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Develop and refine budgeting processes to enhance financial planning and accountability.
• Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making across departments.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and growth.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and implement financial strategies.
• Lead initiatives to improve financial systems and processes for greater efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including the board of directors.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to foster growth and high performance
Requirements • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as VP or Director of Finance.
• Expertise in preparing and managing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Strong proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• In-depth understanding of budgeting processes and cash flow management.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
