Description We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting and financial operations within the hospitality industry. The role requires strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail to support various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Provide customer service support related to billing inquiries and financial documentation.

• Assist with group billing processes, ensuring all invoices are correctly prepared and delivered.

• Collaborate with team members to reconcile financial discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze and organize financial data.

• Support month-end and quarterly financial reporting activities.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

• Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned to support the team’s objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for handling customer service inquiries.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Prior experience or knowledge in accounts payable and receivable is preferred.

• Familiarity with group billing processes and reconciliation is a plus.

• Willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic work environment.
