Description We are looking for an experienced Travel & Expense Coordinator to join our team in New York, NY. This is a long-term contract position with a focus on managing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at working with accounting systems like Concur, and capable of maintaining accuracy in high-volume workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Process employee expense reports using Concur, including auditing supporting documentation and verifying compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with employees and managers to address and resolve discrepancies or deficiencies in reimbursement requests.
• Assist in weekly check runs, including printing and mailing checks as required.
• Administer Concur system tasks, such as setting up profiles for new employees and updating existing profiles as necessary.
• Ensure expenses are accurately coded to the correct general ledger accounts.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures concerning travel and expense processes.
• Support accounts payable functions by ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Conduct audits to validate data accuracy and compliance within financial systems.
• Facilitate communication between departments to streamline expense reporting and improve workflow efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in Concur for travel and expense management.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and accrual accounting.
• Experience with general ledger account coding and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to audit and verify financial documentation for compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with employees and managers.
• Prior experience in a high-volume financial services or accounting environment.
