Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients team in Omaha, NE. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and supporting various bookkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize financial documents, receipts, and general bookkeeping activities.

• Perform reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, as well as bank and credit card statements.

• Maintain and update debt schedules, including posting loan and lease payments.

• Handle payroll tax deposits and serve as a backup for payroll processing.

• Provide support for monthly billing tasks and issue purchase orders as needed.

• Assist with bookkeeping responsibilities across multiple companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Apply cash payments and ensure proper documentation in financial records.

• Collaborate closely with clients and businesses to gather necessary financial information.

• Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills to identify key financial details and underlying principles.

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

• Effective communication skills to clearly convey information and provide constructive feedback.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

• Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Familiarity with financial statements and general accounting processes.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
