    Description

    Robert Half is working with a well-known hospitality group in San Diego to hire a Payroll Specialist. This organization operates multiple locations and prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities.

     

    This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and enjoys working in a people-first environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees across multiple locations

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws

    + Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefit contributions

    + Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits

    + Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies

    + Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and tax filings

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-location businesses

    + Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paylocity)

    + Strong understanding of California labor laws and wage regulations

    + Excellent organizational and communication skills

    + Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
