Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team in Chula Vista, California. In this role, you will serve as a key partner within the Aerostructures Supply Chain contracts organization, managing complex supplier agreements and collaborating with leadership to achieve strategic business goals. This is a long-term, Remote contract position that offers the opportunity to engage in high-impact projects and contribute to the success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex contract documents in alignment with internal and external schedules.
• Analyze and prepare detailed reports to ensure compliance with negotiated parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
• Evaluate and interpret contractual terms and conditions, assessing risk and potential impacts to the organization.
• Collaborate with legal and subject matter experts to address risk through tailored contract terms and conditions.
• Provide guidance to team members on contract-related issues and consult with leadership to develop contingency plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and enhance the quality of deliverables.
• Track and report key metrics to measure and improve functional effectiveness.
• Represent the organization on legal matters related to contracts and provide expert legal advice on contract administration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal and contractual documentation.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 4 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong expertise in contract administration, supply chain logistics, and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to consult and collaborate effectively.
• Proven experience in analyzing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and tracking functional metrics for operational improvement.
• Familiarity with financial processes, cost control, and risk assessment in contract management.
• Ability to streamline processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
• Preferred qualification: Juris Doctorate or equivalent legal expertise.
