Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial processes and grain marketing accounting, particularly in managing month-end close activities. Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.

• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting workflows and processes.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain detailed documentation of financial activities for audit purposes.

• Provide guidance and support to less experienced accounting staff as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and grain marketing accounting.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.

• Expertise in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

• High attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
