    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Visalia, CA)


    Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our team in Visalia, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting daily operations within a meticulous CPA firm environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in financial management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Manage payroll operations using ADP software, including tracking employee hours and processing payments.

    • Prepare and input bills into accounting systems while generating internal financial statements.

    • Handle vendor relationships and ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping entries.

    • Assist with monthly financial reporting and provide support for tax preparation functions as needed.

    • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

    • Collaborate with firm leadership to address administrative and operational tasks effectively.

    • Train under the current Office Manager to seamlessly transition into responsibilities.

    • Utilize QuickBooks and other bookkeeping software to maintain organized financial systems.

    • Support firm operations with general accounting and organizational tasks. Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience in a detail-oriented environment.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other general bookkeeping software.

    • Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

    • Familiarity with payroll systems, especially ADP, and employee time tracking.

    • Ability to generate financial statements and perform bank reconciliations accurately.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage priorities effectively.

    • Prior experience in a CPA firm or accounting office is highly desirable.

    • Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities, including tax preparation.
