Description We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to support attorneys in the Corporate Department of a global law firm. In this role, you will assist with a variety of transactional legal tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of document preparation, client communication, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive legal and executive support to attorneys, ensuring all daily tasks are handled efficiently.
• Draft, edit, and finalize transactional documents, client correspondence, spreadsheets, and forms.
• Assist with monthly closing preparations, including proofreading and assembling closing binders.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
• Handle time entry, open new matters, draft engagement letters, and process reimbursement expenses.
• Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Prepare and submit conflicts check forms, screening forms, and new matter request forms.
• Prioritize and manage high-priority tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide backup support to other legal assistants as needed.
• Facilitate court filings, including e-filing, and ensure compliance with legal procedures. Requirements • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Assistant in a large law firm or similar environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong skills in editing, formatting, and comparing lengthy legal documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
• Proficiency in e-filing, calendar management, and handling court filings.
• Strong typing and word processing skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
