Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Milton, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position designed for an individual with strong attention to detail and expertise in payroll processes and compliance. The role involves managing student employment programs, ensuring adherence to Federal Work-Study regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the student employment program, ensuring compliance with Federal Work-Study guidelines.

• Monitor student earnings and Federal Work-Study awards to ensure accurate tracking.

• Oversee student employment data using organizational systems and Banner software.

• Ensure all employment paperwork is completed and verified before student work begins.

• Train managers on payroll compliance, timekeeping procedures, and budget management.

• Process payroll changes, including tax requirements and adjustments for international students.

• Collaborate closely with the Accounting Office to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Participate in the Student Employment Committee and maintain documentation related to employment policies.

• Step in to manage payroll operations during the Payroll Supervisor's absence. Requirements • Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processes and multi-state payroll administration.

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.

• Familiarity with handling payroll for organizations with over 500 employees.

• Strong understanding of Federal Work-Study regulations and compliance standards.

• Experience working with Banner software for payroll and employment data management.

• Ability to manage payroll changes and tax requirements efficiently, including for international students.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills for training and collaboration.

• Detail-oriented approach to financial reporting and policy documentation.
