Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoice processing, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accurate and timely handling of payments. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic department while advancing your career in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Open, sort, and distribute incoming departmental mail on a daily basis.

• Validate, record, and mail checks while expediting requests requiring special handling.

• Organize and maintain records by sorting, logging, scanning, and filing invoices, checks, and related documents.

• Provide administrative support to the AP/Finance Department to ensure smooth operations.

• Address customer service inquiries from internal business partners in an attentive and precise manner.

• Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits as required.

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process with accuracy and efficiency.

• Execute daily financial processes and controls to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Process payments in foreign currencies while adhering to established guidelines. Requirements • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and databases.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with technical and financial teams.

• Previous experience in an accounts payable role is preferred.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to perform account reconciliations and invoice coding with precision.

• Knowledge of check runs and efficient invoice processing techniques.
