Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Blue Ash, Ohio, for a Contract to permanent position. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to oversee financial operations and contribute to the strategic growth of a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, cash management, payroll, and grant reporting.

• Lead the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.

• Manage banking relationships, cash flow, investments, and treasury controls to optimize financial resources.

• Develop and implement financial benchmarks, forecasting models, and reporting standards to support short- and long-term organizational strategies.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements, tax filings, and regulatory standards, including Form 990 and 990T.

• Coordinate and manage annual audits and financial monitoring reviews, providing necessary documentation and reports.

• Establish and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

• Provide financial insights and updates to senior leadership and the board through detailed reporting, variance analysis, and forecasts.

• Support and lead the accounting team, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.

• Participate in strategic planning and leadership initiatives as an active member of the senior leadership team. Requirements • A minimum of ten years of accounting experience, with at least five years in a senior-level finance or accounting management role.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.

• Strong expertise in banking processes, financial data analysis, and grant compliance.

• Proven experience in managing payroll, 401(k), and pension plans with a focus on process optimization.

• Advanced knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entries.

• Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of fostering trust and productivity within teams.

• High level of integrity and ethical conduct in all financial and organizational dealings.
