Description We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our team on a contract basis in Hibbing, Minnesota. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. As an integral leader, you will oversee critical HR functions to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage employee relations initiatives, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee benefits administration, including the development and implementation of employee benefit programs.
• Direct HR compliance efforts to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate on the negotiation and management of union contracts to maintain strong labor relations.
• Update and maintain the employee handbook to reflect current policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Provide guidance and support on complex HR matters, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership.
• Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources leadership roles.
• Expertise in employee relations and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, including federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proven experience managing union contracts and labor relations.
• Familiarity with developing and maintaining employee handbooks.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement compensation and benefits programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
