    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Novelty, Ohio. This is a contract position offering flexibility with approximately 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable, QuickBooks, and reconciliation processes, ensuring smooth financial operations and support for event preparation tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Record and process accounts payable transactions by entering bills into QuickBooks.

    • Handle scanning, filing, and organization of checks and invoices for efficient record-keeping.

    • Prepare for events by organizing cash boxes, setting up Square terminals, and ensuring all devices are connected to Wi-Fi.

    • Perform reconciliation tasks, including scanning receipts for credit card transactions and updating donor databases.

    • Process daily deposits in QuickBooks, ensuring accurate and timely entries.

    • Sort and distribute incoming mail, including donations and invoices.

    • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.

    • Assist with bank account reconciliations and adoption service financial tracking.

    • Collaborate with team members to support operational needs during events. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable processes.

    • Strong experience with QuickBooks for data entry and financial management.

    • Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation tasks.

    • Ability to organize and prepare cash boxes and point-of-sale terminals for events.

    • Excellent attention to detail in sorting and processing mail, including donations and invoices.

    • Strong organizational skills for maintaining filing systems and financial records.

    • Prior experience with donor database management is a plus.

    • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
