Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual seeking long-term stability and growth in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in bookkeeping operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including managing general ledger entries and reconciliations.

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for properly.

• Utilize QuickBooks software to manage financial data and generate reports.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in budgeting processes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies.

• Collaborate with the leadership team to provide insights on financial performance and trends.

• Handle payroll processing and related tax filings as required.

• Continuously identify opportunities for improving efficiency in bookkeeping processes. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.

• Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
