Description

We are looking for an experienced attorney with a strong background in insurance defense litigation to join our regional law firm client's practice in Phoenix, Arizona. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse range of civil litigation cases while contributing to a collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of legal expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee complex civil litigation cases, ensuring all legal deadlines and requirements are met.

• Draft and review legal briefs, motions, and other court filings with precision and attention to detail.

• Utilize case management software to organize and track case progress effectively.

• Conduct thorough discovery processes, including depositions and evidence gathering.

• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop strategic defense plans tailored to each case.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials, with professionalism and expertise.

• Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, drafting opening statements, and coordinating witness testimonies.

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to provide accurate legal advice and recommendations.

• Provide guidance to less experienced attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense, and an active license with the AZ State Bar.

• Proven ability to draft and argue legal briefs effectively.

• Proficiency in case management software to streamline legal processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of discovery procedures and trial preparation.

• Active bar admission in the state of Arizona.

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting insurance policies and legal documents.

• Demonstrated success in courtroom advocacy and client representation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
