    Responsibilities

    What You'll Do

    As our Director of Accounting, you'll be a key leader in our finance department, responsible for:

    + Lead and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering their growth and expertise.

    + Oversee and optimize month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring precise and timely financial consolidations across all locations.

    + Collaborate closely on the supervision of center and corporate accounting, continually seeking opportunities for system and financial process improvements.

    + Ensure unwavering compliance with GAAP and corporate policies, upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.

    + Manage specialized accounting functions, including fixed assets, capital expenditures, and lease accounting.

    + Support annual audits and any regulatory financial reviews with thoroughness and precision.

    + Direct the annual budget process for corporate-level expenses, contributing to strategic financial planning.

    + Seamlessly integrate new acquisitions into our General Ledger structure, ensuring smooth transitions.

    + Coordinate with the FP&A team to refine financial reporting structures, meeting diverse stakeholder needs.

    + Strengthen and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

    + Develop and enhance accounting integration processes, tools, and templates for improved efficiency.

    + Serve as a liaison/resource with other Diversicare stakeholders, including operations finance, business intelligence, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.

    Qualifications

    What You'll Bring

    + **Education** : A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting is required.

    + **Experience** : A minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience is essential.

    + **Leadership** : Prior people management experience is strongly preferred, demonstrating your ability to guide and inspire a team.

    + **Multi-location Expertise** : Multi-location experience is required, reflecting your ability to navigate complex organizational structures.

    + **Technical Savvy** : Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP software is a plus.
