    Summary This position is located at the MWR Automotive Skills Center. The Automotive Skills Center is an 8 bay facility that includes maintenance bays, lift bays, a welding bay, and a tire changing bay...all that's needed for the do-it-yourselfer. For car enthusiasts who prefer to work on their own vehicles you can perform tire mounting/balancing, injector service, transmission service, and more. Responsibilities Responsible for the administration, safe operation, custody, and maintenance of the self-help auto crafts center. Provides individual and class instruction to military personnel and other eligible patrons. Provides technical assistance/training to patrons in the performance of self-help automotive repairs ranging from simple to the more complex automotive including overhaul of engines and transmissions, and body work. Submits requests for new equipment and supplies. Complies data for reports and writes reports as necessary. Provides detailed guidance and training to employes. Gives instructions and demonstrations as needed. Plans, schedules and assigns work among employees and volunteers. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Demonstrated ability and experience, or education to perform the duties of the position. Highly Preferred Criteria: (All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit). Basic Automobile knowledge Posses a minimum of one year Auto Shop experience.
