Job Description:
GDIT is seeking an Army & Defense Agencies Sector CTO with deep Department of Defense experience and understanding of existing/emerging commercial technologies. This position will bridge the gap between customer mission needs, GDIT technology solutions, and external technologies. It will drive the business strategy and technical solutions needed to win our most complex, large scale and strategic proposals. This is one of the company's most important customer facing roles, and it will give you the opportunity to provide the strategic direction of our Defense Agencies go to market approach and interact with bleeding edge technologies that we are bring to our customers. To be successful in this role you must be able to translate relevant details about technologies into a language that DoD personnel appreciate and can be understood by management and other stake holders.

HOW A SOLUTIONS DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Sector Level CTO is responsible for evaluating existing technology solutions, vendors, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement, with a focus on introducing new capabilities that meet client needs. This involves conducting thorough analysis and research to determine optimal partnerships and on-contract delivery options, as well as developing and testing rapid prototyping to demonstrate the feasibility and potential of new ideas and capabilities. Additionally, you will collaborate with operational teams to facilitate a seamless transition of new technologies and solutions, ensuring long-term success for our clients and DoD mission objectives.
• Oversees Solutions Architects engaged in capture and proposal efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business by developing technical solutions for capture strategy and proposal responses.
• Work with GDIT Army and Defense Agencies business to meet with DoD customers to achieve deep mutual understanding of mission objectives and how they connect with GDIT technical offerings.
• Serves as the vital link between Division CTO organization, P&L Operations and Growth functions leading:
+ Technology initiatives
+ Technology introductions
+ Integration of technology solution concepts on current programs
+ Develop and execute “go to market” plan on technical solution ingestion within both the Army and Defense Agencies markets
• Leads Sector coordination between GDIT technical Centers of Excellence, Pursuit Teams, Capability Teams, and Enterprise Solution Architecture ensuring all technical elements are synched to Sector Growth and Execution strategy
+ Assist in overall technical resources management, ensuring appropriate resources are at the right place, at the right time
+ Tracking status and quality of technical support ensuring technical risks are being proactively addressed and assisting in resolving issues prior to them becoming problems
+ Lead and coordinate Sector technology “Pre-Sales” activity
+ Coordinate with Growth and P&L leadership ensuring technical resources and solutions are appropriately deployed in support of customer requirements
+ Coordinate all technical EIC activities ensuring that technical solutions meet customer need requirements with appropriate technology identified, available, and prepared to support senior government engagements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of related experience required
• Required Experience:
+ 10+ years of experience leading and managing complex information technology initiatives.
+ 10+ years of Department of Defense experience.
+ Demonstrated experience in Research & Development and Rapid Prototyping – capable of decomposing customer problems, identifying technology-based solutions, building proof-of-concept development plan, executing hands-on development, and identifying path to scale.
+ Experience developing and integrating emerging commercial technologies to meet Government security requirements (e.g., NIAP, NIST, CSfC).
+ DevSecOps experience deploying cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions with automation, containerization, and Kubernetes technologies.
+ Experience in the development, drafting, and writing of technical design and architecture artifacts in context of the DoD.
+ Experience supervising and mentoring technical staff.
• **Required Technical Skills** : Firm knowledge across and experience in several of the following areas: Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Software Application Development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

• R **equired Skills and Abilities** :
+ Able to leverage relationships such as academic, technology vendors, small business and other relationships to identify and build Enterprise IT / Managed Services solutions and services.
+ Demonstrated ability to strategize and co-develop solutions that accelerate DoD customers' attainment of mission objectives.
+ Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
• **Preferred Skills** :
+ Advanced Degree related discipline Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business with a Technical Background preferred.
+ Experience with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google, Oracle) to include developing hybrid applications, deploying resilient architectures, migrating data, and extending services to the edge.
+ Experience in full-stack development, to include endpoint firmware, mobile/desktop applications, secure networking, backend services, and security monitoring.
+ A background in consulting and recent, direct DoD/IC client engagement and delivery.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment.
+ Deep understanding of DoD technical approaches specifically related to next generation adoption of Cloud, AI, and Cybersecurity emerging technologies.

The likely salary range for this position is $183,498 - $241,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
